Preparing your caravan or trailer for transport
A few minutes of preparation prevents most of the problems we see. Run through this before collection:
Empty fresh and grey water tanks — water is heavy and it moves.
Latch or tape every cupboard, drawer and internal door, and empty overhead lockers.
Wind in and secure the awning; retract and lock the roof on a pop-top.
Turn off and disconnect gas bottles, and secure them in their holder.
Check tyre pressures and tread including the spare, and have bearings serviced if the van has been standing.
