Measure it on the trailer: Overall length, width and height as it sits on the trailer, with the canopy down. That is the figure that decides the equipment, not the hull length on the brochure.
Trailer check or carried: If it travels on its own trailer we check registration, tyres and bearings are fit for the distance. If not, we carry it instead — tell us and we will quote accordingly.
Secure and cover: The hull is secured to the trailer, loose fittings come off, and a condition report with photos is taken before departure.
Transit and delivery: Door-to-door or dock-to-dock, with updates along the way and a condition check on arrival.
Preparing your boat or jet ski for transport
A few minutes of preparation prevents most of the problems we see. Run through this before collection:
Take everything loose off the deck and out of the cabin — safety gear, esky, cushions, electronics.
Lower and secure canopies, biminis and clears; they will not survive highway speeds standing up.
Drain water from the hull, live wells and plumbing.
Disconnect and secure the battery.
Check trailer tyres, including the spare, and have the bearings inspected if the boat has not travelled far recently.
Remove or tape down aerials, rod holders and anything that protrudes.
